Wanting To Make A Social Change
Danse4Nia Repertory Ensemble uses the power of dance and spoken word to
explore our communities social ills that plague us today. All the while
celebrating the positive solutions that can come from making a social
change. This show high lights the famed phrase, "it starts with you,
it starts with me!"

Danse4Nia LLC, created its performing company Danse4Nia Repertory Ensemble
in April 2006. The mission of the company is directly related to its name
which means purpose. To To dance for purpose is to Danse4Nia!
It is the desire of the company to move, stir, captivate, and intrigue audiences through the art of meaningful, soulful, and life changing dance.
Under the leadership of Founder, Executive and Artistic Director Antoinette M. Coward- Gilmore, Danse4Nia Repertory Ensemble has been able to touch all audiences of different and diverse backgrounds and cultures by appearing in the following productions and conferences.
TB Christian Production of Unwrapped, Suntan Entertainment production of The Life Story of Marvin Gaye that appeared in the legendary Lincoln Theatre in Washington DC, Dr. Paul Bodises annual Heal ThySelf Garden Party in Philadelphia, PA., performing for childcare agency CATCH Inc. located in Philadelphia, PA, Million More Movement commemoration of the Million Man March, performing for the Gala Fundraiser for the Philadelphia Branch of the NAACP, as well as performing for the Maryland Council of Dance in Baltimore, Maryland.
Danse4Nia Repertory Ensemble made its Philadelphia debut in the 2006 Philadelphia Fringe Festival where we presented our debut concert of Assemble for Purpose featuring choreography by director, Antoinette M. Coward-Gilmore, Faye Snow and resident choreographer Shawn- Lamere Williams. The concert also featured Spoken Word Artist, Mo Beasley, and International Turntablist, DJ Razor Ramon.
Due to the overwhelming demand for the appearance of Danse4Nia Repertory Ensemble, the company was incorporated March 2007 and pending its non-profit status. Now we are registered Danse4Nia Repertory Ensemble, Inc. in the state of Pennsylvania.
